Volunteer

For even the Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve...

Mark 10:45

Please prayerfully consider how you might take part in the life and ministry of St. Mark’s on Sunday mornings.  Your participation helps strengthen our worship, deepen our community, and share God’s love with all who walk through our doors. There are many ways to get involved—right away—including:

Hospitality:  welcoming worshipers, greeting newcomers, preparing coffee, or helping create a warm, inviting space
Music:  singing in the Chancel Choir, playing St. Mark's Orchestra or the Current Band, playing Bells, or helping with Kids Music and Praise
Worship Leadership:  helping serving commuinion, being an acolyte, usher, or assisting with the liturgy
Sunday Morning Classes: helping lead or assist with kids, youth or adults

If you have any questions or would like to explore where you might serve, please don’t hesitate to call the church office.
We would be delighted to help you find a meaningful place to participate.

How do I volunteer with music?

We invite you to share your musical gifts and join one of our vibrant music ministries at St. Mark’s. Whether you enjoy singing in the choir, ringing handbells, playing in the orchestra, or leading worship with the praise band, there’s a place for you to belong and make a joyful noise. All skill levels are welcome, and your presence would be a blessing to our worship life. Come add your voice—or your instrument—to the song of our community!

How do I volunteer with students?

If you feel called to share your gifts with our youth, we would love to help you find a meaningful place to serve. Please reach out to Scott Melvin to learn about the volunteer opportunities available and discover where your talents might be a good fit. Because the safety of our young people is a priority, all volunteers working with children and youth are required to complete a background check. We’re grateful for your willingness to support the life and ministry of our church community!
