Children’s Ministry Programming

The check-in station and Kidz Church classes are located in the Children’s Wing. Check-in for each hour begins 10 minutes prior to the start of class or service time.

For 9 and 11 AM worship hours, children will proceed to the sanctuary with their families after check-in and be released to Kidz Church after the Kidz Chat (children's sermon) with the pastor.  For the 10 AM Education hour, children will proceed directly to class after check-in.

Worship activities for young children choosing to remain in service are available behind the sanctuary. The shelves contain items geared towards children 3+ and there are worship bags for children 6+.
Find out more about our curriculum

For more detailed information about our curriculum and why we chose it for children's faith development, please see our Parent Resource Guide. Children's Ministries staff members consider it an honor to partner with families in the spiritual growth of children at St. Mark's. If you would like more information or simply want to chat and get to know more about us, we welcome the opportunity to talk with you! You can reach us at any time at kidzchurch@stmarkscarmel.org

Volunteer in Children’s Ministries

Join a Children's Leader Team

Come join the fun and impact a child’s life! Volunteer leaders for Sunday morning programming (Kidz Church), are special people who share the love of Jesus with our youngest church members and guide them in relating the Bible to their every day lives. Please prayerfully consider how you can be involved in this critical local mission of our own St. Mark’s children! Training and materials are provided, and you will always have a partner to share in the lead. If you cannot volunteer in a classroom but children are on your heart, please pray for the volunteers God is nudging to serve.
Contact Children's Ministries at kidzchurch@stmarkscarmel.org to join a  Kidz Church Leader team!

Childcare Job Opportunities

St. Mark’s is always looking for caring people who love spending time with children to be a part of our paid childcare leader team.  Childcare is often needed during weekday mornings and occasionally during the early evening. Safe Church training is provided. Please contact Children's Ministries at kidzchurch@stmarkscarmel.org to apply or for more information.
Keeping Our Children Safe
All volunteers and paid childcare providers receive Safe Church & Emergency Action Plan training and are required to have a Background Check on file (18+) with St. Mark’s. Nursery childcare providers are also required to review and sign our Nursery & Childcare Guidelines & Procedures Handbook which is written specifically for children ages 6 weeks through Kindergarten age.

Children's Monthly Mission

Mission is a way of life at St. Mark’s, and what better way to live out this motto than by starting with our youngest members! Each month, Children’s Ministries strives to have children get involved in giving to the church’s monthly In-Kind Donations. To see a list of what’s needed for this month.
