feed the hungry

Did you know?

  • Did you know that there are over 27,000 people right here in Hamilton County who are food insecure? This month St. Mark’s is supporting local food pantry ministries that are helping feed hungry people who are our peers and neighbors, just around the corner.
    • Carmel United Methodist Food Pantry (Carmel)
    • Third Phase Christian Center Food Pantry (Noblesville)
    • Brightwood Food Pantry (Indianapolis)
  • The need and demand for food pantries continues to increasingly grow, while the rising costs of food continues to diminish the supply! Your donations provide for families and individuals who qualify as needing assistance; low-income, homeless clients, and those who struggle with food insecurities.
  • The Carmel UMC food pantry fed an average of over 900 guests per month, in 2022. “The food pantry fed 11,397 people last year, which is up 62% from the 7,043 people served in 2021.That’s a lot of people that St. Mark’s has had a direct impact on because you use your time, talent &resources to feed the working hungry in our community”. (Linda Withrow, CUMC Missions Coordinator). The food pantry at Third Phase provides food for their homeless shelter residents. It also provides emergency food support for the needy in the community. Please help stock their shelves to join us in fighting hunger and food insecurity.
The CUMC Food Pantry serves about 400 Hamilton County families each month. Your help is needed to fill shifts at the pantry. Visit https://carmelumc.org/ministries/missions/ for more information and to sign up!
